I finally got dressed around 1:15pm today. The plan is to clean out the chicken coop, finally. While I was putting my contacts in, a very old memory flashed through my head.

I was home for the summer after my freshman year in college. My buddy Tom was in a band and we were hanging out with that group of guys for most of the summer. One of the dudes that was in that circle was this guy named Lou. He was a scrawny little guy, kind of like Squiggy from Laverne & Shirley but shorter and not nearly as funny. And he always (at least it seemed to me) had a shitty attitude.

Anyway, we took to calling him "Lou Bricate". I think I started it.

Which cracked my shit up as I was putting my contacts in this morning. "Bricate." "Lou" then a pause, then "Bricate." That little pause thrown in there is great, then that utterly silly sounding "Bricate".

It really drove Lou nuts.

Last day of school

I'm going to CT after this for a BBQ and I want to leave already.

Rock Me Sexy Jesus Sing-Along

So I saw the trailer for a new movie called "Hamlet 2" This morning I am getting ready for a long day of craziness with the wedding and all. This movie trailer made me laugh SO hard! I showed husband and he was quite amused. But we have done ourselves a disservice, you see we are about to spend the day in a CHURCH. We are going to have our heads bowed in prayer with this song going through our heads. I hope it enriches our day. Yours too.

Trying the Miracle Berry. Verdict: Awesome.

After reading tons of stuff about it, Jody and I bought some Miracle Berry tablets. You let them dissolve in your mouth and the chemical Miraculin that's in them causes your tongue to interpret flavors differently. Basically, sour and bitter become sweet.

So we had a tasting...

limes- tasted like they were dipped in sugar
lemons- lemon candy
key limes- key lime pie
grapefruit- best sweetest citrus ever
balsamic vinegar- tasted like herbed breakfast syrup
grey poupon- sweet and creamy
sour cream- vanilla pudding... for those of you who have had it, tastes like the whipped cream at Peter Luger
claussen pickles- tasted like kool aid pickles
babybel cheese- tasted like sweet cream cheese
panela cheese- cottage cheese with sugar added
brussels sprouts- like they were cooked in sugar
imitation crab- tasted like real sweet crab (wrong texture though)
cream stout beer- chocolate milkshake
lager beer- tasted like a sweet wine cooler without the bite

so i tried sleeping in late this morning since i have today off but couldn't. hubby decided he could not stay in bed any longer so he took roxy for a walk and watered the lawn while i ignored all the noises and got some more zzz's. i wish i could have slept longer..up at 8ish...ugh.

i had lunch at mom's house while i waited to pick hubby up at the doc's office. mom and i watched her fave spanish gossip show, we had a blast making jokes and poking fun at other peeps expense. it was really nice hanging out with her in her home. i don't go very often (i have my reasons that i would rather not talk about right now). i could see how happy she was that i surprised her and stayed a while. i have to admit, it felt good.

hubby was ready to have a late lunch when i picked him up. we went to mimi's in los feliz and got stuck in traffic, what's new? we hung out at home for the rest of the evening. after some zzz's and me going stir crazy i decided to

read, blog, watch tv, called my bff but he's MIA. now what? my bros are watching dark knight again! tomorrow will be the 3rd time they see it. we're going with them to westwood and yes tickets have already been purchased.

gosh i figured i would be happy to be home relaxing but since i'm so used to hanging out with friends on friday nights i think i am having withdrawals...bwahahahaha.
